1. Who We Are

Recovery Reimagined Initiatives CLG ("we", "us", "our") is a Company Limited by Guarantee registered in Ireland. Through Recovery Reimagined, we offer educational workshops, recorded content, and peer community spaces for people healing from dysfunctional family systems, relational trauma, and addiction recovery.

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data on our website at recovery-reimagined.org. Our workshops, courses, and community spaces are delivered through separate platforms (such as Thinkific and Ticket Tailor), which collect and process your information under their own privacy policies.

For questions about this policy, contact us at info@recovery-reimagined.org.

Because we are registered in Ireland, we follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and we extend the same core rights to everyone regardless of where they live. A note for US and California residents is in Section 10.

2. What We Collect Through This Website

Information you give us directly:

  • Your name and email address when you sign up for our newsletter or contact us

  • Anything you include in a message to us

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage data such as pages visited and links clicked

  • Approximate location (such as your city), device, and browser information

  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 6)

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Send our newsletter and updates, where you have given consent

  • Respond to your messages and enquiries

  • Understand how the website is used so we can improve it

  • Keep the website secure and meet our legal obligations

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

  • Consent: for the newsletter and optional data uses. You can withdraw consent at any time

  • Legitimate interests: to improve and secure the website

  • Legal obligation: where Irish or EU law requires it

5. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal data. To run this website, we use a small number of trusted providers:

  • Squarespace (website hosting)

  • MailerLite (newsletter and email)

  • Zapier (connecting our signup forms to our other tools)

  • Google Analytics (understanding site traffic)

When you register for a workshop, make a payment, donate, or join our community, those actions take place on separate platforms (such as Ticket Tailor, Stripe, FundraiseUp, Thinkific, and Zoom), which handle your data under their own privacy policies.

All providers are required to protect your data and to process it only as instructed. Some are based outside the EU/EEA. Where that happens, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences and understand how the website is used (through Google Analytics). You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work properly without them.

7. Data Security

We use appropriate measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your information safe, and we require our providers to do the same.

8. Data Retention

We keep the personal data collected through this website, such as newsletter sign-ups and enquiries, for as long as needed for the purpose it was given, or until you ask us to remove it or you unsubscribe. Where we are required to keep certain records for legal or financial compliance, we retain them for that period.

9. Your Rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you

  • Correct data that is wrong or incomplete

  • Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")

  • Restrict or object to certain processing

  • Receive a portable copy of your data

  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these, email info@recovery-reimagined.org. We will respond within one month. EU/EEA residents may also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission of Ireland (dataprotection.ie).

10. US and California Residents

We welcome many members from the United States. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If you are a California resident, you may request access to the personal information we have collected about you, and you may request that we delete it. To make a request, email info@recovery-reimagined.org. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

As a nonprofit, we may fall outside the scope of some US state privacy laws, but we extend these choices to you regardless.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify members by email.
